Dogs Days
Dog Days: To the Greeks and Romans, the “dog days” occurred around the day when Sirius appeared to rise just before the sun, in July 22 - Aug 22.
They referred to these days as the hottest time of the year, a period that could bring fever, or even catastrophe.
I have had dogs as pets for most of my life, and they are a favorite topic of my 40 + years collection of 'Animal Antics'.

Street People
Street People are my favorite subject matter. I feel very comfortable taking photos of strangers.
I try to speak with them in whatever common language we agree upon, often using my hands or drawing pictures to communicate.
I always show them my camera screen after taking the photo.

Travel
Travel: Thank all of you for traveling along with me and my travel pictures. While most of my photography focuses on people, I am also interested in Architecture and Monuments.
These, generally, support the history and religion of the countries that I visit. While some are in disrepair, most are protected and in various states of repair. Many are not easy to get to, and you have to be patient to find the right station point to keep the tourists from getting into the frame.

Shadows & Silhouettes
Shadows & Silhouettes: They look a lot alike, but are very different. I often find them together, both lack, detail, and rely on a shape.
They are flat and graphic for me. Silhouettes are the real world while shadows are of another world, both are mysterious, enigmatic, curious, and strange. They stir my imagination. I'm attracted to both. They help me make great photographs.

Street People
I've been traveling for 60 plus years. I ran away from home after high school at 17. It only lasted 3 months.
After college, I headed to the East Coast then on to Europe. As a photographer, I live and breathe adventure.
New people and places are like new blood. During this pandemic, I am not traveling. I am bored to death.
So, I am sharing with you past travels and the people that have crossed my path.

Mannequins and Dummies
"Mannequins and dummies": I've been drawn to mannequins since I was young. So real, so unreal.
When I began taking pictures, they became subject to photograph. I now have a 45-year collection of mannequins images.
Mannequins changed from culture to culture, in France and Northern Europe, they tend to be thinner, the style of clothes change in Latin America and they have big butts, and in India and Southeast Asia, they are often recycled mannequins from the US, many missing hands, feet, and heads.
I especially like when mannequins interact with humans. No matter where they are, they are a fantasy. I try to show them in their environment.
